This unique experience offers a guided behind the scenes tour of our lion nightyard.  During this walking tour you will learn what the Akron Zoo does for the care and well-being of our lions. Guests will also hear amazing success stories of our conservation efforts both locally and worldwide!

The tour lasts approximately 15-20 minutes and a maximum of 15 guests can attend (2 years and under are free). Behind-the-scenes tours can be purchased in advance or the day of. Admission is not included in this tour.

The starting location for the tour is across from BOMA in our Pride of Africa area. Please arrive at 11:50 (10 minutes prior). Footwear is required. 

All guests, including Akron Zoo members, will need to create a zoo website account if you have not done so already. Please make sure to log in and then continue to check-out. Akron Zoo member discounts will only appear if you are logged in, the tickets have been added to the cart and you continued to the check-out screen.

All sales are final. Tickets are non-transferable, non-refundable and are not able to be rescheduled or applied to other visit dates. The zoo is a rain, snow or shine facility.

Each vendor fee includes one (1) six foot table and two (2) chairs. Location assignments will be provided after all vendor registrations and payments are received.

Vendor fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Credit card payments (Visa, MasterCard, and Discover) are preferred. The Akron Zoo cannot accept American Express.

Registration payments must be made within three (3) weeks of acceptance into the show. If we have not received payment by that time, we will offer your booth space to another vendor. No vendors will be permitted to participate if full payment is not received by October 1, 2025.

Shops can be open during the day and during night events, depending on the date you will be here.  Your space will include one 8' table, two chairs, and a tent.

The booth fee is $125.00 with a $75 deposit due at time of acceptance, paid with this link.  The remainder is due the day of the event in person.  Vendor fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.  Credit card payments are preferred.  American Express cannot be accepted.

Purchase a space to highlight your organization at our annual Senior Safari event!

Adults aged 62 and older can visit with their favorite animals throughout the day while connecting with local organizations that offer services for seniors! They enjoy discounted admission, giveaways and coffee. Plus, Komodo Kingdom Cafe will be offering a lunch special for seniors! 

Pricing for the space is:

$175 for For-Profit Organizations

$125 for Non-Profit Organizations

Prices will increase by $25 for any vendors purchasing a space after May 31, 2024. Starting June 1, for-profit vendors will be charged $200, and non-profit vendors will be charged $150.

Vendors should arrive by 10:00am to ensure that you have time to get to your area and set up.  The event runs from 11:00am until 3:00pm.

This is a rain or shine event. Dress appropriately for the weather, and bring a canopy if your table is uncovered. We encourage you to bring a pull cart or wagon. All payments are final.

Welcome! We're excited to see you at the Akron Zoo soon. Here are some things to remember about purchasing tickets for your visit to the Akron Zoo.

• Tickets are date specific and can only be used on the date listed on your ticket.
• The system will default to the next available date. You can select the date that is best for you. Please select "Other Date" to make this change.
• The zoo is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily. Tickets can be scanned at any time during the day.
• The last admission into the park is 4:30 p.m. The park will close for the evening at 5:00 p.m.
• When purchasing tickets in advance online, remember to include parking. Parking purchased online is at a discounted rate. One parking voucher per vehicle is required.
• Discounts, coupon and AZA Reciprocal Member benefits cannot be redeemed online. If you will be purchasing a discounted ticket, this must be done in person.

Akron Zoo Members do not need to reserve tickets online to visit the zoo. Zoo members must show their e-membership card and a photo ID when they arrive at the zoo to receive their admission.

Akron Zoo gift cards are a great way to support your zoo, as well as guarantee a fun trip in the future. Akron Zoo gift cards can be used for tickets, concessions, rides like the carousel and train, gift shop and more!  Some exclusions apply, such as strollers and scooters.  Gift cards must be redeemed in person and cannot be used for online purchases.

Gift cards can be purchased online in any of the denominations listed below. Physical gift cards will be provided and you can have the cards mailed to you (the purchaser), the recipient, or picked up at the Akron Zoo. 

Gift cards will be processed within 48 hours of purchase and will be mailed via USPS first class mail (unless in-person is selected). Please disregard the eticket that is sent by the system automatically upon purchase.
